Roswell Women in Business: Spotlight on Alyssa Rives of Momumental Physical Therapy & Performance

Roswell is home to many women who are transforming the way our community lives, moves, and thrives. Among them is Alyssa Rives, founder of Momumental Physical Therapy & Performance, an in-home women’s health physical therapy and personal training practice that brings essential care directly to mothers who need it most. Her work is rooted in education, empowerment, and a belief that moms deserve comprehensive support throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

A Business Born From Two Very Different Birth Stories

Alyssa’s journey into entrepreneurship began with her own motherhood experiences. After navigating two births that looked nothing alike, she realized how deeply outcomes are shaped by the right education and support. Her second birth was peaceful and empowering, and it opened her eyes to the possibility of what care could be for women when they have the information and guidance they deserve.

With over four years of experience as a physical therapist, Alyssa saw firsthand how traditional clinics often rush treatment or limit care to fit insurance requirements. She wanted something different. She wanted to give women time, attention, and a whole-body approach that honored their goals.

That vision became Momumental Physical Therapy & Performance, a practice designed to bring expertise to a mom’s doorstep and remove the biggest barriers women face: childcare, scheduling, and lack of individualized care.

Care That Meets Women Where They Are

Alyssa describes her work in one sentence: in-home women’s health physical therapy and personal training that makes pregnancy and postpartum care easier, more comfortable, and accessible.

Her practice is unique because it bridges two worlds that are often separate. Traditional pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on symptom relief, while sports rehab emphasizes strength and performance. Alyssa combines both. She sees moms as athletes and treats them with that mindset.

Many women are told what they cannot do after having a baby. Alyssa takes the opposite approach. She helps her clients return to the activities they love, whether that is heavy lifting, running, or high-intensity training, and she does it through education, encouragement, and evidence-based care.

The New Mama Reset: A Service Rooted in Compassion

One of the offerings Alyssa is most proud of is her New Mama Reset, a complimentary hands-on session during the second visit. This restorative experience targets the overworked muscles used for holding, feeding, rocking, and surviving those early newborn days.

It gives moms a moment to breathe, relax, and feel genuinely cared for. In a season where most of the focus shifts to the baby, Alyssa’s care brings attention back to the mother.

Empowering Women Through Knowledge and Movement

Alyssa hopes her business helps women feel informed, supported, and strong through every season of motherhood. She wants moms to understand their bodies, restore their confidence, and return to the activities that make them feel like themselves.

By removing barriers such as travel, childcare, and scheduling complexity, she makes it possible for women to prioritize their recovery without sacrificing time or energy they do not have.

Building a Business With Purpose

Alyssa became an entrepreneur because she wanted to care for women the way they truly deserve. No rushed visits, no fear-based messaging, and no insurance restrictions.

Her biggest challenge was trusting herself enough to step away from the traditional healthcare model and build something new. She overcame that fear by staying grounded in her mission and seeing the real impact her approach has had on moms throughout Roswell.

She shared that her husband has been her biggest supporter, encouraging her to take the leap and taking on extra childcare so she could build her dream. His belief in her and their shared commitment to the vision have been essential.

Rooted in the Roswell Community

Alyssa grew up in this area and is grateful to serve the community that helped raise her. Roswell holds a special place in her heart, and her work allows her to give back in meaningful ways.

She also loves supporting other women-owned businesses, including:

Hoola Doula – Carissa Williams

Alyssa’s doula during her second birth and someone she recommends wholeheartedly.

Crescent Counseling & Consulting – Paige Head

A perinatal mental health specialist who supports mothers recovering from trauma, loss, postpartum mood changes, and more.

These partnerships reflect Alyssa’s belief that mothers thrive when the community around them comes together.

Creating Strength, Confidence, and Support for Every Mom

Momumental Physical Therapy & Performance reflects Alyssa’s passion for helping women reclaim confidence, strength, and understanding of their bodies. Her work empowers mothers to move without fear, live without limitation, and experience care that truly meets them where they are.

Her impact reaches far beyond physical therapy. She is helping shape a community where women feel supported, informed, and valued in every chapter of motherhood.
